Artists with works at this studio
Stefania Migliorati (b. 1977, Clusone, Italy) graduated in visual arts at the Academy of Brera in Milan. The body of her work focuses on the concept of positioning, encompassing all of the different notions of how this term can be applied, such as spatial, geographic, ethical and political positioning. As the place is one of the primary focuses of her work, the exhibition space itself and the ways in which the art object can use it or in turn be used is also of great interest. She received prizes and acknowledgments including the ECF Step Beyond Travel Grant 2015 and the Talent Prize 2013. In 2012 she was artist in residency in Beijing at Lab-Yit Program. Solo and group shows include collaborations with Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan; Beton7, Athens; Galerie Weisser Elephant, Berlin and CCCB, Barcelona. She is co-founder and member of the steering committee of Associazione 22:37 and Peninsula e.V.
Alexandra Wolframm (b. 1971, Braunschweig, Germany) studied and graduated in visual arts at the Academy of fine arts of Rome, Italy. The existential relationship between man and nature and the interaction between vision and imagination are the focal points of her work. Human interventions on the environment and on landscape, the transformation of places and their identity and the effects that these dynamics have, can often be perceived only at second glance. This triggers the interest in the ambiguity of images in her research. She had solo and group shows in Germany and Italy, among others at the Mila Gallery in Berlin, the Francesco Fabbri Foundation in Pieve di Soligo, Italy, the Venice Biennial 2011, Galleria Il Segno, and the AOCF58 association in Rome. She was artist in residence at the Kunststiftung Goch, NRW, Germany, in 2013 and 2014. Alexandra Wolframm is co-founder and member of the steering committee of Peninsula e.V.
